Miracles Happen
Being in the world of sciences, I thought life is always calculated, always measured, always (should be) objective.
Until my faith was challenged. I lost my job, my boyfriend of 6 years left me with no sound reason, I sold the possesions I was able to invest for long, my family hardly talk to me. My life was a mess.
My faith only got renewed when I was diagnosed with cancer. A Christian pastor who is close to a friend has visited me from time to time. He has been preaching bible verses and would relate his and people from his circle's experiences. I learned how to practice compassion and selflessness. Though sick, I went with his group's outreach medical-dental missions, and religious events. I volunteered to do a newsletter for the group. Though new in the writing industry, I braved the odds and help myself through reading books, custom research papers , broadsheets, and news online. I did not care about the job anymore.
After 3 months, the doctor told me that I could start chemo theraphy. After another month, the doctor was surprised that the cancer cells were gone.
How did that happen?
The answer merely is, miracles do happen.
